1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Grasp application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Grasp is a free, open-source educational application that provides structured learning courses, quizzes, flashcards, and study tracking tools. The App downloads educational content from publicly hosted Content Delivery Networks and stores all user data locally on the user's device.

3. Open Source License

The Grasp application source code is released under an open-source license. You are free to:

  • Use the application for personal and educational purposes
  • View, study, and learn from the source code
  • Fork the repository and create derivative works
  • Contribute improvements back to the project

4. Educational Content

The educational content delivered through Grasp ("Grasp Content") is hosted on the grasp-content GitHub repository and served via CDN. This content is:

  • Provided "as is" for educational purposes only
  • Not a substitute for professional instruction or certified educational programs
  • Community-contributed and may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • Subject to updates and corrections over time

Grasp makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or currency of educational content.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of Grasp, you agree to:

  • Use the App for lawful educational purposes only
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App in ways that violate the open-source license
  • Not use the App to distribute malicious content or interfere with CDN infrastructure
  • Understand that your learning data is stored locally and is your responsibility to back up

6. No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Content will be available at all times
  • Study methods will produce specific learning outcomes
  • The App will be compatible with all devices

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Grasp and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

8. Content Contributions

If you contribute educational content to the Grasp Content repository, you agree that:

  • Your contributions are original or properly attributed
  • You grant the project a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute your contributions
  • Your contributions do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Your contributions comply with the repository's content guidelines

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and are visible in our public Git history. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
